Built by a Teacher, for Teachers

LessonDraft started because I got tired of spending more time formatting lesson plans than actually teaching. So I built the tool I wished I had.

The Story

I'm Jacob — an education student at Grand Canyon University studying elementary education. During student teaching and practicum, I noticed something: teachers were spending their evenings and weekends doing paperwork instead of doing what they love.

Lesson plans, rubrics, report card comments, IEP goals, parent emails — all of these follow patterns. They're important, but the formatting and first-draft work is mechanical. That's exactly what AI is good at.

So I built LessonDraft. Not a generic chatbot — a purpose-built platform with structured forms for every task teachers do. No prompt engineering required. Just pick your grade, subject, and topic, and get a standards-aligned output in 30 seconds.

There's no corporate team behind this. No venture capital. Just someone who watches teachers struggle with the same tedious tasks every week and decided to do something about it.

What We Believe

Time is the most valuable thing a teacher has

Every hour spent formatting is an hour not spent mentoring, differentiating, or just breathing. LessonDraft exists to give those hours back.

AI is a tool, not a replacement

AI writes the first draft. You make it yours. Your expertise, your students, your judgment — AI just handles the tedious parts.

Privacy is non-negotiable

No student data is ever collected or stored. Your generated content is yours — it's not shared, sold, or used to train any models.
