Science Under the California NGSS

California adopted the Next Generation Science Standards as the CA NGSS. Every standard is three-dimensional: a Science and Engineering Practice (SEP), a Disciplinary Core Idea (DCI), and a Crosscutting Concept (CCC), bundled into performance expectations. The California Science Test (CAST) assesses this three-dimensional learning, so a strong lesson has students doing science, not just reading about it.

Generating CA NGSS Lessons
