Strong Performance:

• "[Student] demonstrates excellent algebraic thinking and can solve multi-step equations with confidence. They communicate mathematical reasoning clearly in both written and verbal formats."

Growth Areas:

• "[Student] shows solid procedural skills but is working to strengthen problem-solving strategies, particularly when word problems require multiple steps. Encouraging them to draw diagrams and identify what the problem is asking will support this development."

High School Math Comments

For high school, focus on specific skills rather than general observations: ability to model real-world situations, quality of mathematical reasoning, persistence with challenging problems, and preparation for the next course.
