Florida B.E.S.T. Math Lesson Plans with AI
Math Under Florida's B.E.S.T. Standards
Florida math uses the B.E.S.T. (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) standards, not Common Core. The math benchmarks are organized into strands — Number Sense and Operations, Fractions, Algebraic Reasoning, Geometric Reasoning, Measurement, and Data Analysis and Probability — and every lesson also draws on the Mathematical Thinking and Reasoning (MTR) standards. Progress is measured by FAST.
Generating B.E.S.T. Math Lessons
In the Lesson Plan Generator, specify "Florida B.E.S.T. math" and the benchmark code — for example, "MA.4.FR.1.1 — model and express fractions."
Try it right here — generate a real lesson plan
No signup needed for your first one. Pick a grade and subject, enter a topic, and watch it write.
- Name the strand so the plan targets the right benchmark category.
- Weave in an MTR — B.E.S.T. expects students to reason, model, and justify.
- Reference FAST so practice mirrors Florida's progress-monitoring format.
Building Across Grades
B.E.S.T. expects fraction operations and fact fluency earlier than Common Core. Use a Vertical Plan with "Florida B.E.S.T. math," then run Standards Alignment to confirm benchmark coverage.
